Dr. Lance Crawley, Ed.D.

In June 2024, Dr. Lance Crawley began his sixth year on the Superintendent’s leadership team in Muskogee.

With 32 years of experience in Oklahoma Public Schools, Crawley has spent the last 20 years as an administrator. He started his career as a high school English teacher and basketball coach, spending 12 years in these roles before transitioning to administration in the 2003-04 school year with Coweta Public Schools.

In 2005, he was named Building Principal of Woodall Elementary School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he served for four years before moving to Hilldale Public Schools as the Building Principal at the Elementary School level.

Crawley joined Deer Creek Public Schools in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer, managing all funds, including a $128 million lease-purchased bond issue. He has accumulated a total of 10 years of experience as a building principal and another 10 years in central office roles.

Lance earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, where he also serves as an adjunct professor. He and his wife Andrea, who have been married for 32 years, live in Muskogee and have three children.
